Lancelot’s Dam being a state premium and premium mare has a big frame, a good top line and well-cadenced movement. She has an excellent pedigree, her highly rated dam premium mare Lucretia von Steinberg is a half sister to the well known dressage horse and sire of high talented competition horses and lots of premium mares Lucito. The stallions Lions-Club, Lucado, Liebestraum, and National Riding Horse Champion Latimer comes out of the same mare family.

Her sire Michelangelo, this noble, athletic bay stallion with his true type and outstanding movements founded a new branch of the famous stallion line Pasteur xx, which has also it’s basic in Mahagoni. Michelangelo became a famous and proven sire in the Dutch warm blood breed as well as in the Trakehner breed. His mother Miami by Matador one of the best brood mares of the Trakehner breed for a long time produced the outstanding champion and dressage sire Monteverdi. Michelangelo’s mother line is the same as that of Marco Polo, father of Next Milton. He has sired up till now 6 graded sons, among them the champion stallion Kennedy and the premium stallion Summertime. In 2000 and in year 2001 Michelangelo was awarded a very valuable title as the most proven and successful sire of broodmares within the Trakehner breed – gained by special scores.  

Lancelot’s Sire Chabrol is by Alter Fritz, which is a powerful son by Chardonnay with impressive movements, excellent action and a lot of suppleness. In good harmony with his body this stallion knows how to please his rider. He is the reserve champion of the Trakehner championship for young riding horses at Steinhagen-Brockhagen and succeeded in several riding tests and dressage competitions for young horses. His offspring is impressive with good tallness, nice top line, strong and correct bones and three excellent and extreme balanced movements, all combined with wonderful character and temperament. Alter Fritz’s sire premium stallion Chardonnay was reserve champion of the Bundeschampionship at Warendorf and the Trakehner dressage champion in 1995. Chardonnay, who was in his years the most successful young dressage horse of the whole of Germany, represents the very well known and highly reputated sire line of Rockefeller and Consul, which has a great influence in all German breeds as well. On the mothers side Alter Fritz is also featured with the best bloodlines. His dam Agatha Christie (state premium mare) is the actual reserve champion of the regional broodmare show in Rheinland-Pfalz 1994 and won the, I b-prize at the national broodmare show at Warendorf. State Premium mare Arena IV is a daughter by the champion sire Seeadler. This son of Habicht produced a lot of good breeding as well as good sports horses. His sire Habicht, a son of Burnus, was known as a really successful eventer and has left a big impact on the Trakehner breed today. Also on the dam’s side the popular sires Argument, Arsenal, Aron and Argonaut can be named.

Chabrol’s mother Cinzana was reserve champion of her central grading and show and took part successfully at the national Trakehner mare show. She is a big powerful (trot 10) mare with noble type and highly recommended dressage abilities. Her full sister Countess produced with her daughters Chamonix, Carrara, Courage and Casablanca four supreme champions of their show.

Chabrol’s mother line of Cajenne is originally the same as that of Caprimond, and Cajenne’s daughter Cornelia founded that new branch of this highly proven bloodline, which is entering more and more the centre of the whole Trakehner breed.  Chabrol is very closely related to the premium stallion Chateauneuf.

Lancelot is a beautiful colt with extremely good conformation. When he has grown up he will come to look just like his very good looking dad Chabrol.
