September
At the TBF show this year we only took one
mare Hallesen and her colt foal Hallmark. We also took H.G Gardet
for Meryl (which she bought from us last year) and Singing Genie (a
two year old sold to Kerrie this March) so it was a very relaxed
show this year, as not many horses compared to the four mares and
foals we normally bring along every year.
On the Saturday, which where the grading,
Hallesen was awarded a Premium and only two mares was. She
was also Reserve Champion of the grading which we where absolutely
delighted with. The Singing Stud has now had three mares grade with
a Premium in a row. 2003 Unica, 2004 Herbstwolke and this year 2005
Hallesen. Hallesen is Halleluja's 3rd filly and the 3rd filly to get
a Premium, so up to now Halleluja's daughters have all been awarded
a Premium at their grading.
Gardet did well for Meryl grading with 51.5
points, so well done to both Gardet and Meryl. In the showing class
it was seen that Gardet had gone lame and had to be retired from the
show for the rest of the weekend, which was a shame for both owner
and Gardet, but they will be back next year.
On the Sunday, which is the showing day,
Hallmark came fourth in the colt class and his mum Hallesen did
again really well in the mare class winning her class. Hallesen then
went on to become Reserve Champion of the mares. Singing Genie won
the two year old class and was placed Reserve Champion which was
well deserved, as she really moved and is a fantastic looking filly.
As we don't have a school at our stud I just had to keep chasing her
to look at her moving as I just love to see these wonderful children
of Arentino when they really move. A BIG CONGRATULATION to Kerrie
and Singing Genie. Kerrie you have done a super job with Genie and
she looked FANTASTIC.
Next year we will have to bring Hallesen up to
do the mare performance test, so she can be allowed to use her PM
status, however she will have to pass the test first.
We hope to see a lot more people at the show
for next year 2006, as it was very quiet this year, come on
Trakehner fans get them out there and be seen. Come along and have
some fun.
June
The Singing stud was off to the
British Dressage Young Riders and Breeders Championship yet again
this year and took our highly graded mares PM Inaara and
St.Pr.u.Pr.St Elistra with foals a foot. Elistra was in a bit of a
mood and would not stand still in front of the judges and was placed
3rd where as Inaara was a star and was placed 2nd in the mare class.
The foals where 4th and 5th in the colt class. We have not been able
to attend as many shows as we normal do due to family commitment,
but we hope to be out again next year at our usually shows.
