July 2010
Kim and her beautiful filly Singing Henna enter dressage classes at Burrows Court Farm and comes 4th in the P4 with 68.6% and 5th in the BE91 with 67.5% with 8's for paces. Well done Kim, we are really pleased for you and wish you all the best of luck in your next outing.

Singing Henna and Kimberly Jones won their ridden sports horse class at Cricklands Show held at the David Broome Event Center. It was very close between Henna and another horse but Henna won due to much better movement. Henna attracted a lot of very good positive intrest with a lady asking if she could have a sit on her.

Singing Gia owned by Wade Barley and Colin Hamilton qualifies for Badmington young dressage horse final.

Singing Herbstglanz and his Danish International rider Jim Rasmussen have their debut in 30 degrees heat in Denmark. Our home bred stallion Singing Herbstglanz and Jim entered the qualifier for the Danish Trakehner Championship and qualified with 70.59% and was given 8.64 for gaits. Jim said "Glanz was really sweet and concentrated very hard on his job. We had a couple of mishaps but he gave as much as he could considering the heat we rode in and I am really pleased with him" Herbstglanz and Jim won their class and Jim told us many came up to admire him and he was given a lot of positive interest. We are so delighted as this is his first time out and really look forward to the next time.  www.trakehner.dk

Julie Keatinge says " She was a super star and had a double clear and she flew around the cross country" We look forward to hearing more from the pair and wish them all the best in their next competition.

Our first foal of the year is born, a very handsome black colt out of Pr.St Aida by Singing Herbstglanz and he looks like he will be a mix between his sire and brother Singing Alondo. Really look forward to seeing this beautiful boy growing up

March 2010
Kim and her beautiful mare Henna have their first prelim dressage competition and gets placed 6th out of 20, which we think is fantastic. Kim tells us: "We went down the centre line to beyonce, I was so pleased with her, as she behaved so well".  Kim goes on to say: "And next time I better remember where to begin the trot".  We look forward to hearing about their next outing.

Champion and Reserve Champion of all horses of all ages evaluated in the whole of New Zealand goes to the only two foals born by Arentino this year. Arentino has had two foals born in New Zealand this year one filly and one colt. The filly Coniston Rosenzauber out of the mare Riteta by Falkensee owner by Annable was given the amazing high marks of 57 points making her the Champion of the whole of New Zealand. Arentino's colt foal Lambada out of Lady Devoraw by Holme Park Flute owned by Sacha was given the equally amazing high marks of 56.5 points making him the Reserve Champion of all horses of all ages evaluated in New Zealand. A very big congratulation to both Annabel and Sacha for breeding such outstanding foals.

Hernando and his owner Stef comes 4th at Berkshire Agricultural Collage in his first Novice affiliated and score 2 points. They then go on to get placed 2nd in their class with 67.85% and 3rd overall in the Prelim 14. Hernando and Stef also goes on to be placed 5th in the afternoon with a 65.83% and gain another 3 points. Stef is now in training with the British Team coach Sarah Dwyer-Coles after being spotted by Sarah's mum. Stef goes on to say " Sarah is just brilliant, she is hard to please and I have some really hard training lessons, but she is really getting me up to my level and getting Hernando going amazingly" That is really great news and it just shows what hard training and the proper training given can do to rider and horse. We really look forward to more news from Stef and Singing Hernando.

The Arentino filly Coniston Rosenzauber out of Riteta owned by Annabel Gorman from New Zealand receives the highest marks given in the foal evaluation in New Zealand. Annabel wrote to tell us that her beautiful filly was evaluated by Matthias Werner from Germany who remarked that, he was very impressed with her and that she compared very well with the top tier of foals in the German crop foal. A BIG congratulation to Annabel, Riteta and Rosenzauber.

February 2010

Clare and Ultraflash went to the Regionals and are placed a very reasonable 7th. Clare tells us “I could have qualified for the Championship, had I not had my accident and been able to ride him over Christmas and now but it was not to be and even though I am on painkillers I still struggled to ride him properly” We think she did absolutely brilliant and that she should not really have been in the saddle yet. Clare goes on to say “ now we begin to compete at elementary level, so we shall see how that goes” We look forward to hearing how the pair gets on as they do seem to have a fantastic partnership.

Another star has gone. Just one month after Blue Hors Martine dies the Elite stallion Gribaldi sadly dies as well. Siring many top dressage horses and being one him self, it is a great loss to the Trakehner world to loose this very beautiful black Trakehner stallion. Gribaldi was born in Germany and bred by Marika Werner He was then bought by Otto Langels as a foal and brought up for grading at Neumunster in Germany as a two year old, where he graded as the Champion and sold for 300,000 DM to Van Uytert from Holland. Gribladi then had a wonderful successful dressage career ridden by Edward Gal. Gribaldi sired a lot of top class horses like E.H Hofrat, Distelzar, Painted Black, Sisther de Jeu and the new world favourite Moorlands Totilas. Gribaldi was another true WORLD CLASS HORSE.

Ultraflash goes to Solihull and comes second in his first two elementary tests. In the first test he got 65% and the other he was given 63% loosing out to win with only one point. Ridden by Melanie Slater who has keep Flash going over Christmas and up until now, as his rider Clare has had a bad accident just before Christmas puncturing a lung, Melanie told us that the judges was scoring very low and he was up against some very good horses. We think that is fantastic and well done to Melanie for riding him so well.

January 2010

A star is dead…..  Blue Hors Martine has sadly been found in the field with a broken leg and has had to be put to sleep. Martine partnered by the Danish dressage rider Andreas Helgstrand became world stars known by everyone in the dressage world. A Danish bred daughter by the Trakehner stallion Silvermoon, she won Bronze and Silver medal at the 2006 World Equestrian Games. As quick as the pair came on the scene, as quickly they where gone. Martine sadly got an injury and even though everything was done to try to get her back under the dressage spotlight this was never achieved. This beautiful grey mare was due to be put in foal this spring but this will now sadly never happen. Martine was a true WORLD CLASS HORSE.

Stephanie and Singing Hernando gets invited to go and have lessons with top dressage rider and trainer in the UK after being spotted at a dressage competitions being told that both she and her beautiful horse has potential to go to the very top in dressage.
