During the stallion auction in Neumunster 2001, Erhard found and persuaded Edward to buy this impressive young stallion coming out of some very rare, but in breed and competition highly proven bloodlines.

Chabrol is by Premium stallion Alter Fritz, which is a powerful son by Chardonnay with impressive movements, excellent action and a lot of suppleness. In good harmony with his body this stallion knows how to please his rider. He is the Reserve Champion of the Trakehner Championship for young riding horses at Steinhagen-Brockhagen and succeeded in several riding tests and dressage competitions for young horses. His offspring is impressive with good tallness, nice top line, strong and correct bones and three excellent and extreme balanced movements, all combined with wonderful character and temperament. Alter Fritz’s sire Premium stallion Chardonnay was Reserve Champion of the Bundes Championship at Warendorf and the Trakehner dressage Champion in 1995. Chardonnay, who was in his years the most successful young dressage horse of the whole of Germany, represents the very well known and highly repudiated sire line of Rockefeller ( Reserve Champion of his grading, Premium graded and awarded the Elite title) and Consul, which has a great influence in all German breeds as well. On the mothers side Alter Fritz is also featured with the best bloodlines. His dam Agatha Christie (state premium mare) is the actual Reserve Champion of the regional broodmare show in Rheinland-Pfalz 1994 and won the, I b-prize at the National broodmare show at Warendorf. State Premium mare Arena IV is a daughter by the Champion Premium Sire Seeadler. This son of Habicht produced a lot of good breeding as well as good sports horses. His Sire Habicht, a son of Burnus, was known as a really successful eventer and has left a big impact on the Trakehner breed today. Also on the Dam’s side the popular Sires Argument, Arsenal, Aron and Argonaut can be named.

Chabrol’s mother State Premium and Premium graded mare Cinzana was Reserve Champion of her central grading and show and took part successfully at the National Trakehner mare show. She is a big powerful (trot 10) mare with noble type and highly recommended dressage abilities. Her full sister Countess produced with her daughters Chamonix, Carrara, Courage and Casablanca four Supreme Champions of their show and Cinzana's mother was also highly graded being awarded State Premium and Premium marks at her grading..

Chabrol’s mother line of Cajenne is originally the same as that of Caprimond, and Cajenne’s daughter Cornelia founded that new branch of this highly proven bloodline, which is entering more and more the centre of the whole Trakehner breed. Chabrol is very closely related to the Premium stallion Chateauneuf.

Chabrol's sister Chiffon is the proud mother of the outstanding premium mare Chanel by Donaufischer, which came 2nd Reserve Champion of the Rhineland central grading on the 11th of June 2006. This strong moving mare with wonderful classical Trakehner type is another example of the wonderful genes that Chabrol is representing. Chabrols full brother Cinzano came 5th in the Bundes Championship last year (2006) in eventing and has now qualified for the 2005 German Federal Championship in three day eventing.

We are proud to own this noble, elegant, characterised by classical Trakehner type and an outstanding kind and friendly temperament young stallion. He presents himself always proud and uphill with elastic, big and powerful movements. Chabrol has good proven bloodlines, which combine with Chardonnay, Rockefeller, Postmeister, Seeadler, Santiago and Kassio some of the best known and popular dressage genes.

Chabrols foals are absolutely stunning. With wonderful heads, necks, legs and body they are just wonderful elegant sports looking horses with a big strong walk, very uphill trot with high knee and hock action and a magnificent canter. Chabrol's foals comes in Bay, brown, black and chestnut.
