The stud fee is payable, when mare is scanned in foal using natural covering.  

However if wanting frozen semen then the stud fee is payable before the semen is send out. We send one dose out (containing 8 straw) pr. mare and the mare owner will also be charged for flask rental and shipping cost. Should your vet not get your mare in foal first time then we send out a second dose free of charge, but again flask rental and shipping cost will be payable by the mare owner. 

No foal free return (if mare is certified barren by 1^st October, in the year that she was covered) Free return carries on only for one year to the same mare and is only given to mares covered natural. 

Livery charges will be invoiced monthly and are due by return. (Cheques are to be made out to The Singing Stud Ltd)  

Mares and foals will have their feet trimmed when necessary and the mare owner will be charged accordingly 

Should the mare arrive poor at the stud then the stud will feed the mare up and the mare owner will be charge at our daily prices.  

Hind shoes must be removed from mares prior to their arrival at stud. 

Mares and foals will be wormed on arrival at stud and thereafter every 6 weeks during their stay and the owner charged accordingly. 

A negative EVA (Equine Viral Artritis) blood test and a clear CEM (Contagious Equine Metritis) certificate must accompany all mares on arrival at stud. NB Please note that these tests, can take up to 3 weeks to come through from the laboratory. 

All scanning and gynaecological veterinary work will be carried out by a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and the owner will be charged direct from the practise. 

The Singing Stud Ltd will do its best to take all possible care with a visiting mare, but no responsibility can be taken for theft, accidents, disease or loss whilst in our care. The mare owner gives consent to any member of staff from The Singing Stud Ltd, to authorize Veterinary assistance, that is not of a gynaecological nature, if we feel it is a necessary course of action for the well being of the mare or foal, which will be chargeable to the owner. All mares are served at their owner’s risk and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, damage or loss caused through scanning, trying or serving any mare.  

It would be of great help if you could give us plenty of warning, as to your mares expected arrival date. 

All arrivals, visiting and collections of visiting mares are strictly by appointment.
