| Gatlin’s
Sire Arentino was competed in Prix St. George dressage and did also really
well in show jumping. Arentino’s Sire Santiago by Wie Ibikus and
out of the foundation mare Schwalbelied was Champion of his grading in
1980 and was a very substantial big framed grandson of the legendary stallion
Ibikus, which went on to become a very good show jumper. Wie Ibikus himself
produced a big number of high successful dressage horses competing up
to Grand Prix. Santiago produced some outstanding broodmares and the value
can be seen in his offspring’s competition results. Arentino’s Dam E.St Arktis II presents herself as one of the more valuable broodmares of the Trakehner breed, being a full sister to the stallion Arogno, sire of the stallions Schwadroneur (now dead) and Anky’s stallion Partout. E.St Arktis’s offspring are doing well in 3-day eventing and dressage competing in Prix St. Georges. Galaxzar’s Dam Holme Grove Galaxy was reserve at her grading and her mother line is one of the most proven families within the Trakehner breed, producing champion stallions and proven sires like Gunnar, Ginster, Guy Laroche, Gipsy King, Guter Stern and Guter Planet. Members of this bloodline are well known for their dressage ability and competition talents. Her sire the impressive, noble and elegant Istanbul was besides Arogno the most important son of the foundation sire Flaneur. He was graded class 1 and became supreme champion of different national German shows. His presence, his proudness and his most powerful, elastic movements made him unforgotten to those who met him. Istanbul became one of the most successful sires of outstanding broodmares; the brilliant herd of Adolf Dorfler in Bavaria has been founded by his daughters, among them Elite mare Ulrike, mother of the reserve champion stallion Uljanoff. Hugo Simon’s international show jumper Goldkorn by Istanbul is a famous example for his high talented competition offspring. Galaxzar would suit a lady or smaller rider, as he won’t be very big. |
